Thermometer is an instrument that is used to measure temperature (the hotness or coldness) of a particularly place or a substance. A thermometer has two important elements 1- a temperature senso in which some physical changes occurs with the temperature. 2- some means of converting the physical changes into a numerical value. There are various principles by which different thermometers operate.they include thermal expansion of solids or liquids with temperature, or the change in pressure of a gas on heating or cooling.Radiation-type thermometers measures the infrared energy emitted by an object, allowing measurement of temperature without contact. Thermometers are widely used in the industries to control and regulate processes, in the study of weather, in medicine and also in scientific research. Musa Mballow
